Air Hockey Table Lighting

Having proper table lighting is vitally important in the sport of air hockey. You can't compete to the best of your abilities without a table that is completely lit up from corner to corner because dark spots and shadows will throw off your hand-eye coordination. Some of the manufacturers that make more expensive models already have an equipped overhead light along with their electronic scoring system. However, there are numerous models designed for the home that don't carry an overhead mounting lighting system. Just think about it, why would a manufacturer making a model for the home add a light to their tables when they don't know the ceiling size of the room. The nice thing is you can always purchase a billiard table light that will work perfectly mounted over the top of your table.
Shopping for an Air Hockey Table Light
When you are looking around for an overhead light, just make sure you can mount it up high enough so players that lean forward don't knock their head on it. This is less of a risk when you are playing a sport like pool because you are typically low over the table when shooting, but air hockey requires a lean that will make your head a little higher. You also want to find something with multiple bulbs in order to fully light the surface.
