Air Hockey Double Bank Shot

Air Hockey Double Bank Shot Overview
The double bank is a variation of the regular bank except it has to come off two walls before scoring. This shot isn't as effective as the standard because it decreases the speed of the puck and increases the amount of time your opponent will have to get in position to defend against it.
Double Bank Shot Level of Difficulty
Not only is a double bank slower and more telegraphed than a traditional bank shot, it is actually more difficult as well. The reason why is because there is more room for error when you bounce the puck off two walls before it goes into the goal. A lot of beginner players won't hit the puck at the right angle to bounce off just a single wall before scoring so they will accidentally score these types of shots. However, it is best to learn the geometry of your air hockey table in order to break this habit and hit standard bank shots.
Defending Against the Double Bank
This shot is one of the more easy types to defend. The reason why is because you have more time to react when the puck has to bounce off one side rail, the other side rail and ultimately towards your goal. The only problem with this shot is it can be a little more unpredictable when it bounces all over the table before coming your way.
